Snow

There is another snow storm that is supposed to be coming and I want to get a good amount of snow I am very tired of waiting and waiting to ride snowmobile. I haven't gotten them out due to the weather forecasts. They haven't said a chance of snow in a week. I really hope we get more snow we have a really good base but we need more just to set up so that you aren't digging into the ground that can wreak things really quick. When it snows I get to ride with my dad and plow snow sometimes I even get to plow snow. (of course that is on a tractor with a bucket) I get really excited when I see that it is snowing I never want it to stop the way it falls so nice and calm and white I just love when you look up you can see more white and it looks like it is coming out of no where and then you realize that if you stick your tongue out you melt any snowflake that you get on it. I warn you do not stick your tongue to a pole in this cold weather odds are is that it will stick and it is painful to get off. I did that once and we had to pour hot water on it so don't stick your tongue to a pole please.

Courage

I think that courage really means doing something that other people won't do until someone sets an example on how to do that one ting. Like when we played dodge ball for the first time we were afraid that we were going to hurt each other but then once the teacher taught us the correct way to do it I started to try it and then all of the kids joined in because they found that it was fun and they got courage to go out and do it. It doesn't hurt said one kid. From that point on everyone in the class wanted to play dodge ball everyday even though we switched from music to PE everyday. Most of the Friday's in winter we played dodge ball because the teacher didn't know what to play so we would have a vote on what we would want to play big base or dodge ball and most of the hands went up for dodge ball. I think that courage is kind of like leadership you have to do something even if you don't like it and set an example for others so that they will get the courage to follow in your footsteps and take the first leap and not be scared.

Snowmobile Trip

We have set a date for our first snowmobile trip of the year we have set it during Christmas break. We are unloading our sleds and making sure they run properly and making adjustments to make sure that all of the gas mixtures work. We are trying not to blow them up they cost alot of money to get them fix even though we do all of the mechanical work at our shop we still have to order the parts sometimes and the shipping costs more then the parts sometimes. We are going out to the Snowies we are planning since we payed for the hotel costs we will be out there for 3 days. Then from there we are going to Glenville to celebrate our Christmas with our Dad's family, and then we will go home home and pend the rest with our family on our Mom's side. Then the rest of the weekend I will use my new presents and then go back to school.

Leadership

I was thinking about leadership and what I think it has meant the past few days. I think that I have finally gave up with a answer and it is someone that starts something or has people that follow in their footsteps or actions. One example is Mr. Goodnature (our school Gym Teacher) said "I was a leader". He said that because we went swimming I was always the first one in the pool and always helping clean up the mess after. I really didn't think that was leadership at the moment because I just wanted to get an A in his class. My mom was in a leadership committee and it was telling her and a group of people how to lead others in a way that makes them want to get involved not by just saying that you have to do something, but setting an example on how to do it. It made her really excited when she graduated that class and was able to be the Sunday school president for the year and lead the kids to a wonderful Christmas play. This is what I think leadership is about.

Giving

Giving what is it. Well some of my teachers asked if I was going to bring cookies on my birthday, (It is today) if I was going to bring cookies or cake to some of my classes my J10 teacher Mr. Worth was surprised when I brought cookies to his class as was Mr. Hansen my biology teacher. I think that it was giving a little bit but I thought as it more as a present to all the kids for putting up with me for the last year. Sometimes I think that people get the wrong impression and think that I am annoying, but you can ask some of my friends and they will say that I am not annoying but I can be put up with at time. Giving is when you see a charity basket and you put money in it. When I think of people giving money to them one quote comes to mind and I don't know who was the person that said it. " If a rich person gives $100,but a poor person gives all they have like lets say $50 the poor person is going to be respected more just on the basis that they give everything they have to other people when the rich people give just a small amount of what they have." I love that it gives the perfect example of giving I think.

Birthday

My birthday is coming up on the 23rd of Novemeber I am so excieted. I am getting a new computer for my birthday it is going to be a fun birthday it is finally my sweet 16th birthday. My whole family is going to be there. I also got cards for my birthday. We are going down to Iowa to visit my relatives on thanksgiving which is just two days after my birthday, I am going to take my drivers test when I turn 16 so I can drive by myself and help my dad out with farming. My close family is going to throw a party on sunday but on thanksgiving that is just a added present.Even though all of my family won't be there most of it will and I really like when we get together on my birthday it makes me happy I can't just go and see them everyday. They all like getting together as one big family we like to talk to each other about what has happened in the last year.

Hope

I think I have said before that we are reading the book Night by Elie Wiesel. I think that it really shows some hope that the Jews had. They kept saying that everything was going to turn out alright. They didn't realize till later on when they were there for a year and still hadn't realized that they were at a place that could very well be a grave for them. They just kept thinking on and on that if they make it through that day they would be able to make it the next day and they just kept saying that as the day went by so that they would not give up. The German's wanted them to think so they could think of ways to pick off all of the weak people so they don't have to waste food. An example that is from the book I found that one quote that he had in there really touched me about hope and life.Every bomb that we heard hit the ground gave us hope that we were going to be free and the next day would be easier because we had to go and repair the damage that had been done.It makers me really sad when they say that it fills them with hope when their people are getting killed by the bombings and they are glad because the next days work is going to be easier because they have to pick up and rebuild the damage that has been done.

Snow

It has finally started to snow. We are under a snow advisory. At shopko the lighting there was flashing on and off most of the time I was there. I told some people in another store and they just got worried but I said relax it is the power company's job to fix the power when it is out. I went outside and it was a really nice sight. I wish I would've had a camera I would've taking a picture. It was a really promising sight I really love snow. It made me realize how close that winter actually is. I just went on day by day and then I finally realized that time was flying by faster than I like it to. I have all kinds of projects that I finished during the day because it was a really bad rainy wet day with a mix of snow. So the snow is very heavy to lift. I started to sell some old games that I had and that is when I finally realized what the snow was actually doing when I slipped and almost fell on the ground. This is what is on my mind at the time.

Adaption

I think that a major part of adaption is getting use to one place or another. I find that it is very hard to adapt to a new place if you don't quit know or you are forced to do that specific thing. I think that if you are mentally ready and you believe in it on your own then you truly do understand it. I think that some people just have to realize that they need to make adaptions to the world around them because everything isn't going to turn out the way you want it. You need to be able to limit the adaptions though you need to be able to change you can't go on saying or having the one adaption locked in you wouldn't survive that way. We shouldn't be forced to do anything we should be able to make our own decisions on where and how much or how we want to adapt to one place. For some it may be that they want to stay in one place but I still think they should have some room for change. If you didn't move but the world changed you would have to adapt to that change so you wouldn't want that adaption locked in for ever.

Differences in Humans and Animals

I think that one of the main differences is fully opposable thumbs. Unlike most animals we can use our hands for Precision grips. Only humans can walk upright some animals can walk upright but not all the time like we can. We have a more advanced language to talk to each other. We are able to teach each other and go to school. Some animals can teach each others but we are the only ones that go and teach each other everyday. We are also able to make more advanced buildings and can tear buildings down faster. We can make more advanced technology to operate our daily lives. We developed a more advanced if not the only way to study science and figure out our own DNA patterns. We also have skulls that are similar to apes but are different because we have bigger brains so that means that our skulls are bigger then the average animal. We live our life in a more luxurious way then animals just because we are more advanced.

First Snow of the Year

So on Tuesday I am going into my 2nd hour room and someone Yells IT IS SNOWING OUT, next thing you know there are 100 kids running to the door just to see it. When I told one of my friends that it snowed she got mad at me because she missed it when she was in cooking class. I told her that you didn't miss very much it was just a little bit here and there for the hour. She got a little happier and walked away to work on her project. One of the kids was trying to take pictures of it but sadly they didn't turn out and it looked like it was only raining out. We had the big door open because I was in my Power Tech class and it was getting really hot inside so we opened up the door and pushed some supermilage cars outside and decided to leave the door open because we were working right next to it and it got really crowded a couple of kids wanted to work outside but we couldn't, but he did let us dry our parts outside the little door. This is when my classmates and I saw the first snow of the year.

Beauty

I got asked today by one of my best friends what I thought Beauty meant. I said "Give me 10 minutes and I will come up with an answer". So, after about 10 minutes he comes up and asks me what I thought it meant I said " I think Beauty about caring for one other having compassion towards other people and begin there when you are needed the most". He looks and me and says that is the most hard hitting answer he had gotten all day he thanked me and said how did you come up with that. I simple replied "I just wanted to tell the truth and want I honestly thought about that word". I wasn't trying to offend anyone that said Beauty meant this or something else I just wanted to put my perspective (view) out so they can use multiple examples instead of all of the people getting up and saying Beauty is the art of looking really cute. I think that Beauty can mean more then one thing I don't think that it has to be based on looks I think it can be based on your thought and what your feeling. This is a weird day because our teachers told us that our blog topic of the week was going to be Beauty. I find that kind of Ironic that he asked me the same week all of us had to blog about that topic.

Farming is really fun this year.

Farming for us has gone so good this year the weather is right and there has been no rain and we have been able to keep on going. We have filled our bins to capacity. We have meet our contract and we have no where to put our crops,so we started a new contract for a different company so that would stop the problem we have. we are currently looking for a new tractor to pull our digger but we were able to rent one this year. We plan on buying one for next years season. I personally chop all of the stocks by myself. I find it very entertaining. I hope that all of your farming is going really well and you are having fun. I hope that all of your crops turn out like ours they are phenomenal beyond belief. Just remember farming is important but school is very important and you need school in order to be a farmer. You need to be good at math to calculate how many bags of crops you will need in order to plant on all of your land.

Hot October Days

I don't like this weather it was really cold and then it was really hot the tempuratures very day to day one day it was a 50 degree difference in the tempurature. It is very weird sometimes I think that the weather is just getting worse and there are going to be problems with the world. I think that storms are the worlds way of restoring or trying to restore the world to what it once was without gas and people throwing trash all over making the world a worse place to live in. I hope that we get as much snow as we did rain in the last year that would be very awesome. The world changes so much I don't think we can honestly say what is coming next. I don't like when there are very hot days that makes me worry of what is to come.

Freedom

Today my topic is about Freedom. I think that all of us shoud have freedom to a certain standard. We have the right for free speech at our house that is a freedom but you can't say whatever you want in public areas that is not a freedom. I think that even though they say that it is a freedom I think that it is more of a privalage, we don't get to do what we want which is a good thing but it makes all of the freedoms promised limited and maniupulates them to fit a perfect law making the world a better place. We have had very brave souls fight for our freedom and for the freedoms of other countries. This is what I think that freedom is all about.

Farming

Ah what a nice day to farm. We just got done with beans and now we are starting on corn. We started earlier tonight. It is fun I find that at times it releases a lot of stress from a long day at school. Most farmers are finishing up beans by now so we start to move onto corn. Almost everyone can farm if they put their mind to it. You can explore places on your land that you have never saw before. Sometimes you can sit back eat lunch and watch the freeway or highway and just watch the cars go by. Look at the scenery. Working at night is so awesome you have a lot of lights so it is liking the inside of a Christmas tree. You can turn the radio on and work as long as you can. I find farming so fun a calming it really calms your nerves. Just don't forget if you want to stop use the clutch then the brake the brake doesn't work alone. This is why I like farming so much.

Justice

One of my topic this week is Justice. My first question is what is justice I was asked this during this weekend. I think that justice means doing the right thing at the right time. Justice means that when someone does something wrong it means that you would have to tell someone if it involves you then you would need to get justice. When someone copies your work and you don't want them to then you would want to get justice and do the right thing and tell the truth. Telling a teacher the truth then you would get the justice that you deserve and want. Justice is finding out the truth and getting everything made right so that it fits everyone and makes them all happy. This is what I think that justice is about and what it means.

Noise and or silence

I think that some noises can be loud and annyoying but the noise can also be a form of silence. I think that it depends on how loud everything is. Noise can be alot of people talking and making no sense because no one can understand a word they are saying. Noise could be people talking out of sequence and yelling things interupting the other person with a comment that is irrelevent about the topic that he is talking. Silence can be silence of the mind or silence of people. Silence of the mind is when your mind isn't thinking of anything. Silence of the people is when everyone in the group of people that you are talking to has nothing to say. Silence of the mind sometimes means that you are sleeping.

Get ready for winter!

Winter is coming up so fast. I am not ready for it at all I am still working on get all of our crops out. I have to get them out and make sure that they still run from last year. I need to make sure that they aren't on the wire. They need to run right. I need to finish the jumps so that we have a track this year. I hope that the snowfall this winter is nice so that we can ride on it. I love to plow snow with my dad I like to watch how far he can make the snow fly on the side of the truck. It is one thing that I try and get outside to see I love it because I can spend time with my dad because during the winter he has work more if a water main breaks. Make sure that all of your gas cans have stabilizer in them so they don't get gas residue or make your lines rock solid.

Rain Rain In Minnesota

It is raining here still we have already got 6 inches. I think we are getting enough it is just making thing harder to farm. We will be delayed at least one week unless the conditions change and get really hot and sun is shine all day then we could get out by the middle of next week. Down in Iowa where my dad just was it is sunny and 80 degrees. It is raining and dark here. It is a little warmer then usually here. I like gloomy days but when we have to many in a row with record rainfall totals that it when I don't like it, because everything starts to flood. I must say that some of the lighting is cool. The way that it lights up the sky for a brief moment. I could just stand there all day and watch it. It seems when it rains here there is no hold outs when it rains it pours. Rain is a cool cycle but we have just got to much this week. This is what I think of the rain in Minnesota this week.

Friendship

Friendship what is it? Is it trusting someone that you don't really know? If you don't have friendship you would be all alone. You would feel left out. You would feel as if you had the whole world to yourself. It would feel like a dream all the time you would be in a bubble just thinking of things that you could do. Without a friend you wouldn't be able to do very much in the world. You would always feel out of place. You would feel like you are there but your conscience wouldn't be there. You would just be dreaming. You would have broke the one true friendship you would have had. Sometimes you would worry about what people think of you. You can have a friendship with things that can't talk back but it wouldn't be like having a real friend at all. You wouldn't get the response that you want. This is what I think that friendship is really all about.

What is this winter going to be like?

Man is it ever hot out this summer it makes me wonder are we going to have a cold winter? Is this winter going to be the best winter we have had in along time just because the world is slowly heating up? If you ask me I am hoping and thinking that this winter is going to be a great and memorably one. Compared to other winters I think that this one is going to have great finally snow totals.I think that we will get 6 feet of snow at least I pray that we do it makes snowmobiling more fun. I would like it even if we got a warm day and the snow was 1 foot deep. If there is powder and I find it I can have fun for hours on end. I love to snowmobile it is a family thing and it is hereditary and I love spending time with my family. I have been thinking of this all day.
